SHP-2 a SH2-containing a ubiquitously expressed tyrosine-specific protein phosphatase. It participates in signaling events downstream of receptors for growth factors, cytokines, hormones, antigens and extracellular matrices in the control of cell growth, differentiation, migration, and death.
