Smac(second mitochondria-derived activator of caspase)又称DIABLO(direct IAP binding protein),是一种线粒体蛋白,也是重要的促细胞凋亡蛋白之一,能够促进细胞凋亡,当杀死不正常细胞的机制启动后,线粒体释放出Smac蛋白促使受损或不正常细胞凋亡的生化过程就会出现,Smac在诱导肿瘤细胞凋亡,增加肿瘤细胞的化疗敏感性及增强免疫力等方面有一定的意义和应用前景。Smac是第二个线粒体来源的胱氨酸酶激活剂,它通过拮抗或中和一种或几种凋亡抑制蛋白(IAP)家族成员而发挥其促凋亡作用。
